Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website — whatever device they're on, and however they browse.
This statement applies to apollotechnology.co.uk. It explains how accessible the site is, where we know we fall short, and what to do if you hit a barrier. We'd genuinely like to hear about it.
1. Our commitment
Apollo Technology is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible. That includes people who:
- Navigate using a keyboard only, or with a switch or voice control.
- Use a screen reader such as JAWS, NVDA or VoiceOver.
- Zoom in, enlarge text, or change colours and contrast.
- Have low vision, colour blindness, dyslexia, or reduced dexterity.
- Find long or technical writing hard to follow.
We've also written this site to be as plain-English as we can make it. If a page is hard to understand, that's a fault we want to fix too.
2. How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA. This website is currently partially compliant with that standard, because of the issues listed in section 4.
3. What we've done
- Colour combinations across the site have been checked to meet AA contrast ratios.
- Every page can be operated with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Headings are used in a logical order, so screen-reader users can skim a page properly.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in words rather than colour alone.
- The site is responsive and works when text is enlarged to 200% or the page is zoomed to 400%.
- Animation and movement respect the "reduce motion" setting on your device.
- Link text describes where the link goes — no bare "click here".
4. Known issues
We know about the following, and we're working on them.
| Issue | Where | Planned fix |
|---|---|---|
| Some older PDF guides and downloads are not fully tagged for screen readers. | Guides & Downloads | [Date] — new documents will be published in accessible formats |
| Some embedded third-party content (maps, video and review widgets) may not fully meet AA. | Various pages | Under review with the suppliers |
| Older blog images may have missing or incomplete alternative text. | Blog & News archive | [Date] — being audited and corrected |
If you find something that isn't on this list, please tell us — see section 7.
A note on this list. These entries are placeholders until the site has been audited after launch. Replace them with the real findings and target dates, or remove the row if the issue doesn't exist. An accessibility statement should never claim more than it can evidence.
5. Ways to make this site easier to use
Your browser and device already include tools that can help. AbilityNet's "My Computer My Way" has step-by-step guides on how to:
- Make text larger, or change the fonts and colours.
- Zoom in on part of the screen.
- Have text read aloud.
- Use speech recognition instead of a keyboard or mouse.
6. If you can't use part of the site
You should never have to fight the website to reach us. If a form, download or page isn't working for you, we will help you another way:
- Call us on 01761 347198, weekdays 08:30–17:00 — a real person answers.
- Email us at info@apollotechnology.co.uk.

- Ask for another format. We can provide information in large print, plain text or another accessible format on request. Tell us what suits you and we'll do our best. We aim to respond within [five working days].
7. Tell us about a problem
If you find an accessibility barrier on this site, we want to know. Please email info@apollotechnology.co.uk with:
- The page address, or a description of where you were.
- What you were trying to do.
- What happened, and what you expected to happen.
- The browser, device or assistive technology you were using, if you know.
We'll acknowledge your message within [two working days] and tell you what we're going to do about it.
8. Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010. If you're unhappy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
9. Technical information
