If you have searched for computer repair near you and ended up here, this is the short version: you can walk in, any weekday, without booking, and someone who actually fixes computers will look at yours.
Where we are
Apollo Technology, 1–2 Ludlow Court, Frome Road, Radstock, BA3 3FX. It is a purpose-built technical centre with a retail repair counter at the front and the workshop behind it, on the outskirts of Bath.
We are within easy reach of Midsomer Norton, Peasedown St John, Paulton, Westfield, Clutton, Frome, Shepton Mallet, Keynsham and Bath itself. There is parking.
Open weekdays, 8.30am to 5pm.
What happens when you walk in
- You tell us what it is doing. In whatever words you like. “It makes a noise and then goes black” is a perfectly good fault report, and often a more useful one than a technical guess.
- We book it in. You get a job reference, and we take a note of what matters — particularly if there is data on it you cannot afford to lose.
- We diagnose it and tell you the price before we do the work. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you that too, and we will not charge you for a repair we do not believe in.
- We fix it, and you collect it.
How long it takes
We aim to turn repairs around within three days. Where a job is critical and the parts are in stock, we can often do it the same day — ask when you drop it in.
The reason we can move that quickly is that the workshop is here, in this building. We do not have a courier relationship with a repair centre in another county. Your laptop stays in Radstock.
What we actually fix
- Cracked and failed screens
- Liquid damage
- Machines that will not power on
- Failing hard drives, and data recovery from them
- Overheating, noisy fans and internal cleaning
- SSD and memory upgrades
- Virus and malware removal
- Charging ports, keyboards, hinges and connectors
- Micro-soldering and component-level fault finding — board-level repairs that most shops send away, or decline entirely
- Custom gaming PC builds
We fix machines for businesses and schools all day long. The repair centre is the same team, the same workshop and the same standard — open to anyone who walks through the door.
Prefer to book ahead?
You can book a repair online and simply drop the machine in, or call us on 01761 347198 first if you would rather describe the problem to a person before you set off. Someone will answer.
